The Mifflin County Amish-Mennonite Historical Society's Fall Heritage Day will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the corner of Main and Walnut Streets, Belleville PA. The two museum buildings will be open to browse or tour, and there will be displays and demonstrations on the lawn. Learn about spinning wool, braiding rugs, making butter, drying apples, woodworking, Native American artifacts, and more! NEW this year is Putt-Putt's Homemade Ice Cream, churned on site with a 1923 hit and miss engine!! Everyone welcome!

A weekend of services commemorating the 500th Anniversary of Anabaptism will be held May 16-18, 2025 at the Allensville Mennonite Church. Marcus Yoder, Executive Director of the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center in Berlin, OH will be the featured speaker. Friday's service will open with a short annual business meeting of the MIfflin County Amish Mennonite Historical Society, followed by Mr. Yoder's presentation on the early beginnings of the Anabaptist movement. Meetings will continue on Saturday evening at 7:00 and Sunday morning at 9:15 and 10:40, traveling through Anabaptist history and concluding with how Anabaptism speaks to our broken world in the 21st Century. All are welcome!

Our Annual Fall Heritage Day is coming up soon. Plan to visit us on Saturday, September 14, 2024, starting at 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. We will have the Heritage Center and Heritage House open for you to explore, as well as try some freshly made cider, and see how things were done in the old days!

Our Annual Meeting is coming up on Friday evening, May 3, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville. Our guest speaker will be John Sharp, a Big Valley native. His talk is entitled "Bundling and the Deacon's Gold: Stories of the Valley and County." It is sure to be an enjoyable evening so come out and join us!
