Dedicated to the memory of the Imperial Glass factory, its employees and the beautiful glassware they created, the Museum offers an excellent opportunity to learn about Imperial and view extensive displays of Imperial glassware.

Sixty years ago in 1966, a group of carnival glass collectors met in St Clairsville OH to form the American Carnival Glass Association. At that meeting, Lucile Kennedy presented each attendee with one of these jelly compotes in Rubigold. These were made only two days before, only 56 were made, and Imperial promised to never produce these again. Each of the 28 attendees signed a register of receipt, two copies were kept, one by ACGA and one by the Imperial factory. The factory register hadn’t been discovered. I hope ACGA still has theirs. The jelly compotes not given to the ACGA attendees were given to various Imperial employees. This one belonged to Lucile Kennedy, it was purchased in the Lucile Kennedy auction in 2025 by Barbara Lucirello, ACGA Secretary. She donated this one to the museum in memory of her parents. A very special item in our collection! Today, the ACGA convention, celebrating their 60th year Jubilee begins. We salute this awesome glass club on this anniversary!
