The Discovery Center at Water's Edge will be a major regional science and heritage center located on the Route 40 corridor at Water’s Edge. We chose the word “Discovery” for our name because it describes what we want to inspire in the next generation – learning, curios

ity, a sense of excitement, and unstructured exploration. We are dedicated to delivering hands-on experiences in science, and providing opportunities to explore technology past, present, and future.

There are some mornings at the Discovery Center when nature puts on the best show of all.

This beautiful bald eagle spent a little time perched nearby before spreading those incredible wings and taking off. What a reminder of how lucky we are to have wildlife like this right outside our doors at Water’s Edge.

Our favorite morning visitor 💙

Almost every morning, this beautiful osprey stops by to keep watch over the water — and we never get tired of seeing him!

One of the best parts of being at the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge is that discovery doesn’t stop at our doors. Sometimes nature brings the lesson right to us.

Keep an eye out the next time you visit… you never know who might be watching from above! 👀

And just like that… summer camp at DCWE is a wrap! 💙☀️

We could tell you what made this summer special, but we thought our campers should have the final word. 🎤

We asked a few of them to share their favorite parts of camp, and their answers are a pretty great reminder of why we do what we do — giving kids a place to explore, create, discover, make new friends and have FUN while learning.
