I’ve created a number of wall sculptures over the years and “Black Crystal” will always remain one of my favorites. I love the form, color, and textures I was able to bring about in this piece.

I've just learned that "Suburban Handicap" my 1982 bronze sculpture depicting the dramatic three way photo finish of the 1976 running of this now classic race has been added to the collection of the National Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York. The three horses in that amazing finish were the winner Foolish Pleasure (winner of the 1976 Kentucky Derby), Lord Rebeau (center) and 1976 Horse of the Year Forego. I am deeply honored to have my work represented in the National Racing Museum and highly appreciative of the late Howard "Tim" Whitbread for donating his sculpture to the Museum.
