Job Lane Farm Museum The farm museum represents “a history of the house and a history of the early days of Bedford.

"The Job Lane House is a historic house at 295 North Road in Bedford, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story saltbox wood-frame structure, with a side-gable roof, clapboard siding, and a stone foundation. The house was built c. 1713 by Deacon Job Lane, one of Bedford's earliest settlers, on land acquired by his grandfather (also Job Lane) in 1664 from Governor John Winthrop. The house was added to the

National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It is owned by the Town of Bedford and operated as an 18th-century historic house museum."

We have a nice display in the Great Hall chamber of a quilt made by a Lane descendant and a doily, in the Parlor also by a Lane descendant.
We are open from 2 to 4. the Gift Shop; is in the Barn where you check in.

The Job Lane House and Barn are open on Sunday, July 12, and on the 2nd and 4th Sunday, from May through October, from 2 to 4 pm. and are located at 295 North Road in Bedford, MA.
Job Lane the grandson of the first Lane built the house in 1713 when he married Martha Ruggles. He became a church Deacon and was one of the founding fathers of the Town of Bedford.
The house is nicely furnished, and we tell the stories from the time of Job and Martha through the last inhabitants, the Duttons.

Our gardens are beautiful, and there is much to see.
Come and spend an hour with us.
