Sad and disturbing site this morning. Vandalism took place between 5 pm Memorial Day and 8 am this morning. Someone trampled the back rows of the American flags that had been placed on the museum’s lawn in remembrance of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice with there lives for our country. Memorial Day has no meaning for those that did this act of Vandalism!

Raleigh County Memorial Day service honors veterans

Today was a good day. The weather cleared and the sun shined on a wonderful day of honoring the many who gave their all in service of God and Country. We must never forget!

To honor those who lost their life in service, the VFW hosted a service at the Veterans' Memorial in Coal City.

Stoco Memorial Ceremony on Memorial Day. Thank you VFW Commander Kevin Meadows for including the museum.
