On the third Saturday of every month during Open Play (October 17th this month), swing by the museum and let your inner inventor run wild! Our digital makerspace is packed with technology, tools, and opportunities to explore, experiment, build, and tinker.

🎨🛠️ MAKER MONDAY! 🛠️🎮

Calling all young makers in 5th–8th grade! Maker Monday is a FREE after-school drop-in program where kids can explore art, creativity, and making in all its forms!

Whether you’re an experienced maker or curious to try something new, Maker Monday is a place to create, experiment, learn, and connect with enthusiastic mentors and fellow makers in our versatile makerspace.

We’re excited to announce that we have been awarded a $250,000 Local Share Account grant!

These funds will support the redevelopment of the Tribune Building, helping move this important project forward and investing in the future of our community.

Neighborhood North: Museum of Play recently featured the Active Economy Report in their newsletter. The museum is one of 21 community projects in the Active Economy Report, which demonstrates the significant economic and social value of community-based investment. In fact, Neighborhood North alone is projected to contribute $49.1 million in gross regional product (GRP) and $22.4 million in social return on investment (SROI).

“Those numbers reinforce something we have long believed: community spaces are economic infrastructure," the museum's newsletter reads. "A museum of play brings families downtown, supports local businesses, creates opportunities for artists and educators, and gives children experiences that help shape their futures.”
