Somebody made mushrooms today.

That's the thing about having a creative home — you come in, you make your thing, whatever that thing happens to be. Mushroom ornaments drying on a rack. A teapot covered in paisley. A wooden bowl with words burned into the rim. Paint splatters here, there, and everywhere.

No wrong answers here.

There's this stage — raw clay, fresh texture, full of possibility — where you can still see every decision the maker made.

This paisley teapot is currently somewhere in that in-between. We can't wait to see what it looks like on the other side.

His booth was full of bold, colorful functional pottery — bowls in every size, plates, mugs, and a few sculptural surprises. The kind of work that makes you want to set a really good table.

Meet Andrea Kirkham — Stray Cat Studio's new Studio Manager!

Andrea is stepping into an administrative and operations role, helping keep the studio running smoothly behind the scenes so the rest of us can keep making things.

You may already know her from the Beaver Valley community — she's the founder of Sangha Center for Yoga and Wellness and played a key role in bringing the B-HIVE in Beaver Falls to life. She's a connector, a builder, and someone who genuinely cares about this place.

And she's not just here to run things — Andrea has been taking pottery classes for over a year now, so she's one of us in that way too. We love that.

We're getting our hands dirty — and we couldn't be more excited about it. 🌱

Stray Cat Studio is partnering with Reforest Our Future, a western PA nonprofit dedicated to community reforestation, to replant our gardens with Pennsylvania native plants.

Planting Day: Saturday, May 30 · 10am–2pm

All are welcome to come help! The more hands we have, the faster it goes. This is one of those days that's good for the garden, good for the community, and good for the soul. Come be part of it.

Members — you can now bring a guest to the studio for a creative visit. No membership required for them. Just curiosity and a willingness to get a little clay on their hands.

They get access to wheels (as available), studio tools, glazes, and kiln firing. You bring the clay, they bring the good energy.
