🔥 I’m having a solo exhibition at this month! Come out Friday 05/22/2026 from 6-9pm

Dario Salvatore Bucheli presents “Transformation Cycle” at Box 13 ArtSpace. The work narrates the mythic journey of the snake: She encounters the moon pierced by a blade and recognizes that transformation requires sacrifice. She then descends underground, entering a liminal space where she sheds her skin and releases what she can no longer carry forward. Finally, she emerges from the earth, reborn into a new form. The cycle continues, an ongoing passage of change, surrender, and renewal.

BIO & STATEMENT 📝
Dario Salvatore Bucheli is an artist and museum professional based in Beaumont, Texas. Bucheli holds a BA from the University of Dallas and an MFA from Texas Christian University, both in Studio Art with a focus on painting. Exhibition history includes presentations throughout Texas and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. Bucheli’s work is represented by Fort Works Art

Bucheli explores themes of displacement, identity, and connection through reinterpretations of symbols from pre-colonial Mesoamerican codices alongside references to contemporary American politics and culture. This approach reflects an ongoing effort to situate the present moment within the broader context of American history.

In this site-specific painting, the snake sheds her skin and becomes a river flowing upward into the night sky, joining the stars as a constellation.
Situated within the “Constellations” Series, the stars are no longer mere celestial markers, but divine symbols that reflect the principles that orient lived experience.
This work presents transformation not just as a rupture, but as an ongoing process that reveals direction.

✨ We’re so back ✨

I’ve been generously invited back by the Lawndale Art Center team to install a site-specific painting for an upcoming group show.

I deleted all social media from my phone, but I do plan to post occasionally. Real, meaningful opportunities are coming my way through what I do irl, not through social media✨ so that’s where my energy will go.

Series of small works on paper in the making 🐍

I’m trying to be both loose and experimental, while also focusing my efforts within the scope of my ongoing series.

The first painting of 2026 ✨ Same questions, new stories, new paintings.

I’m not trying to chase answers yet, I’m choosing to stay open to what manifests to me as I make the work. Trusting the spirit and the intention behind each painting to guide me through.

Grateful to be here another year 🔥 still doing the work. Grateful for new starts, for the uncertainty, and the continued opportunity to make and grow.
