🌿🦋 Happy Earth Day from Tyrrell Park Nature & Visitor Center!

Today’s a reminder that the little things add up - and nature notices. 🌎

Our Rotary Pollinator Gardens are already blooming (thank you, Rotary Club of Beaumont & Spindletop Rotary Club!) and giving bees, butterflies, and other wildlife a place to thrive.

And just overhead, our returning barn swallows are back for their third nesting season. . . proof that when we take care of nature, it takes care of us right back.

Here’s to fresh blooms, busy wings, and a community that cares. 🌸

🌟 What an Owl‑some Two Days! 🦉

We had the joy of hosting 160 fourth graders from BISD over the last two days — broken into smaller groups of about 35 students each — and leading four, interactive presentations about OWLS at the Tyrrell Park Nature & Visitor Center.

From discovering more about the owl’s diet in our Owl/Mice Game to creating adorable paper plate owls, these fourth graders made learning an adventure.

Thank you to the teachers, chaperones, and — most of all — the students who made these days so special. 🧡

Can’t wait for the next group of young naturalists! 🦉🌿
