This is a fairly new organization in town that you might be interested in. There will be a wonderful art event called "Artists' Sunday" on Nov 26th in Beaufort, where attendees can visit the studios of many of Beaufort's artists. Details will be coming soon!

I'm going to try to keep both my personal and business Fb accounts going, and this---my business one---is not at all up-to-date, I think. I'm back!! This is a recent painting I did of the woods in the Clemson Forest. As you may know, I love the woods, particularly in hardwood areas. This painting turned out fairly impressionistic, with chunks of color. It's 24 X 18, framed in a weathered gray floater frame.

I am trying to get more involved with social media, and it's about to kill me. It's not really my thing, but I'm giving it a 'go'. I am now on Instagram as well, and all of these extra things to post and keep up with are like gnats around my face. But if you're on Instagram, you might want to check me out there, too. I'm not sure how well I'll keep up with all three! I'd rather just paint.

This painting was a class demo that I finished that afternoon in my studio. It's off our dock on St Helena Island; the view there changes all of the time depending on the season, the time of day, the weather, and the height of the tide. I call it 'Into the Marsh' because I'm sort of running out of titles. It's 12 X 12 and is now framed (finished size roughly 18 X 18).

This is a new painting of roseate spoonbills. I had to mostly 'invent' the two birds in the back--the one with his neck stretched out and the one in the far back. Not the easiest thing in the world to do! This painting is in oil and measures 36 X 24. I have a frame ordered for it.
