Mount Beacon Incline Railway Restoration Society The BHS is the steward of the history of the Mt Beacon Incline Railway Restoration Society.

The Beacon Historical Society’s mission is to promote, procure, & preserve the history of Beacon. We provide exhibitions, lectures, publications, and special events throughout the year.

Join us for our upcoming exhibition: A Common Thread Between Early Architecture and a Contemporary Fiber Artist.  We will feature the artistry of Shirley Botsford whose needle arts were inspired by her 1889 Queen Anne home at 19 High Street . The show will open on Second Saturday, November 12 from 12-4 and continue through mid February at 61 Leonard Street. A special demonstration, small trunk show with garments, and make-and-take crafts for children (ages 4-10) will be held on November 19 from 1-3pm.

Last chance to see our Mount Beacon Incline Railway and the Legacy and Landmarks of the Howlands exhibitions. We will be open from 1-3pm on Saturday Oct 29.
