We’ll spend two hours learning about Hilma af Klint, her paintings, and distinctive visual language before creating our own work inspired by her approach.
Supplies provided and yours to keep! (sketch pad, set of colored pencils, drawing compass reference images are included)

We’ll explore color, symbols, geometry, repeated forms, and intuitive drawing, using colored pencils and a series of guided prompts.

Whether your version of “out of office” is a beach, a daydream, a creative detour, a refusal to participate, or simply a moment of quiet, we want to see the work that emerges when you step away from what’s expected.

Participants will not only show their work but also given the opportunity to give a small artist talk in August.

⚡️What are artist run galleries and spaces, and why do they matter?⚡
✨ They are often small, scrappy, and collaborative spaces held together by care, shared labor, member support, donations, and community. (like we are!) They don't exist just show work but to talk about art, give the space to try things out, share resources, start conversations, and offer the kind of creative support that keeps artists going. We are proud to be apart of this tradition!

If you’ve been feeling stuck, distracted, or disconnected from your work, Photography as a Daily Practice offers a grounded way back into making. It’s less about producing finished images and more about building a relationship with noticing, curiosity, and time.
