Eighty years ago, a B‑29 Superfortress went down in Buffalo Valley during a 1946 training mission, claiming the lives of eleven servicemen and leaving a lasting mark on Nevada’s aviation history.
Join us as we honor their sacrifice at the 80th Anniversary Memorial Service on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Battle Mountain Cookhouse Museum.
A moment to remember the airmen, their mission, and the history they became part of.
