๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฆ Looking for a great way to connect with nature this weekend?

Our friends at the Kalamazoo Nature Center are hosting another fantastic opportunity to explore, learn, and experience the natural world firsthand. Their programs help people of all ages discover the plants, animals, and ecosystems that make Southwest Michigan such a special place.

At Kingman Museum, we believe that fostering curiosity about nature is one of the best ways to inspire conservation and stewardship. Organizations like the Kalamazoo Nature Center play an important role in helping our community build those connections.

If you're looking for a family-friendly outdoor adventure, be sure to check out their upcoming event and support the incredible work they do for environmental education and conservation.

At Kingman Museum, we believe that understanding the natural world begins with curiosity, education, and connection. That is why we are grateful for organizations like All Species Kinship (A.S.K.), whose work goes far beyond wildlife rescue alone.

Every rescued animal becomes an opportunity to teach compassion, ecological awareness, and respect for the living systems that surround us. Through education, outreach, and direct care, they help our community see wildlife not as something distant, but as neighbors sharing the same environment we do.

For generations, Kingman Museum has worked to inspire discovery through natural history, science, and culture. Organizations like All Species Kinship expand that mission into hands-on stewardship and rehabilitation, helping connect people directly to the responsibility of protecting the natural world.

Their work reminds us that conservation is not only about preserving specimens or studying ecosystems. It is about fostering empathy, understanding, and a lasting relationship between people and the living world around them.

We encourage our community to learn more about the work being done by All Species Kinship and to support local efforts that protect wildlife, educate future generations, and strengthen our shared connection to nature. Please support their fundraiser this Friday.

If you've been wanting a yard sign, now is the time! We'll be popping up at Squirrel Hollow Golf Course THIS Friday, May 29 for live music, vegan bake goods and some merch too!

Due to how busy we are in the streets helping animals, A.S.K. rarely pops up at local events. This is one of those few times so don't miss out!

The action starts around 630pm!

Help us continue building the next chapter of Kingman Museum together.

One of the strongest ways we can support one another as nonprofit organizations is by helping elevate each otherโ€™s missions, events, volunteer opportunities, and community needs. We encourage our fellow nonprofit partners across the Battle Creek community to share and engage with one anotherโ€™s posts whenever possible. A simple share can help connect volunteers, donors, families, and community members with opportunities they may not otherwise see. Together, we build a stronger, more informed, and more connected community when we lift each other up and work collaboratively in support of the people we all serve.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ We need your help to bring 150 years of history to life.

This Father's Day weekend, Kingman Museum of Natural History opens Voices of Kingman โ€” a permanent exhibit tracing our collection from 1871 to today through the stories of the objects themselves. From rare natural history specimens to the explorers and caretakers who preserved them, this exhibit is unlike anything Battle Creek has seen.

We're looking for sponsors who believe in the power of education, community, and preservation. Your support helps us bring this story to every family, student, and curious mind who walks through our doors.

๐Ÿ“ฌ Interested in sponsorship opportunities? Reach out to Patrick Barnett at [email protected].

Let's make history โ€” together. ๐ŸŒฟ
