The Bath Museum Celebrates America 250th Anniversary
During Borough's Old Home Weekend

On Saturday, September 19th, we are excited to have Jonna-Li Catrini at the Bath Museum as our special guest for America's 250 Celebration.

Jonna-Li is a Civil War Reenactor who plays the part of a camp follower with the 16th Maine "At Any Cost" Volunteer Infantry Regiment.

At this event, the public will gain insights into women's roles in daily life and experiences of a Civil War reenactor along with an historical background about the regiment itself including its significance at the battle of Gettysburg.

The main presentation is from 10:15 AM-11 :00AM.

Jonna-Li will remain at the museum until 1 :00PM for questions and conversation.

Saturday, August 8th - The Bath Museum staff members will be at the Horner Cemetery, 4965 Nor-Bath Blvd., Northampton (Route 329).

Peggy Moser, founder of the Horner’s Cemetery Historical Society, has planned a special tour of the cemetery in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. The event begins at 10:00 A.M.

Horner Cemetery has the distinction of being the oldest cemetery in Northampton County with the first burial known to have taken place in 1745.

Founders, prominent individuals, veterans and other important Northampton County figures were laid to rest here. Learn how the cemetery got its name and other interesting facts!

On Tuesday, May 26th, the Bath Museum was honored to welcome 25 students and their teachers from the Northampton Area School District’s Gifted Program.

The students learned about the history of Bath and enjoyed looking at various exhibits and artifacts as part of their Magical History Tour.

We were delighted to welcome this group and look forward to hosting future students who participate in this program!
