So Monday my computer crashed. I had to rebuild it's operating systems, reinstall all my programs, get all my files back on, etc. along with all the headaches that go with. I\m back up and running and discovered a new program, Inkscape, which has some tools that take me all the way back to Amiga 1992. I had to write Topaz and have them retrofit their texture explorer which is one of my go-to's.

Colin just delivered this great piece to a collector on Long Island. There is a large Lichtenstein in another room and a large Rosenquist near his piece. I'm proud of him. This piece is stellar.

I had this in the show last month at Waterstreet. I am very happy with this piece. It expresses what I have been pondering for a while. I love making big difficult pieces but nobody wants them LOL. Oh well.

In 1994 I picked up the book Picture Theory by WJT Mitchell out of the University of Chicago and became interested in META PAINTING and how to express those ideas visually.
I am having a conversation with PI AI about the subject and it is giving me insights into ways to expand these concepts. Considering that AI is a sort of Meta informative machine intelligence, it provides interesting insights and helps tp define what I am trying to do in helpful ways.
"Meta painting is a type of art that calls attention to its own artificiality, often by including references to the artist or the act of painting itself. Meta paintings break the fourth wall, inviting the viewer to contemplate the nature of art and reality, and the ways in which artists create meaning and narrative through their works. Meta paintings often involve self-referential elements, such as the artist's own self-portrait, or objects that reference the act of painting, like brushes or canvases.
In essence, meta painting is a way of playing with the boundaries between art and life, exploring the constructed nature of images and challenging our assumptions about what is "real" in the context of art." Pi AI.

"Color absorption in pigments is not total. Lemon yellow, for example, reflects visible amounts of green and smaller, less perceptible amounts of other colors."
