Wolf Creek Indian Village & Museum

Wolf Creek Indian Village & Museum Open all year. Wolf Creek Indian Village & Museum is located in Bland County, Virginia. The museum property encases where the site was found.

The museum is built and based on an actual archeology site known as Brown-Johnston discovered in 1970 when they were building Interstate 77 in Bland County. The recreated Indian village replicates that site post by post and feature by feature.We strive to tell the story of the Virginia Indians past the Falls of the James River. The museum building houses a conventional museum and the Gift Shop at Wolf Creek.

Tomorrow, we will begin our Spring Homeschool Field Trip Days! Come spend the day exploring with us on May 12, 13, 14, 22, or 27. Homeschool groups and individual homeschooling families are welcome—just choose the date that works best for you. Hop on a guided tour at 10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m., and take advantage of special admission rates for both the village tour and the indoor museum. Don’t miss our gift shop, and pack a lunch—picnic areas are ready for you to relax and recharge. Come for the adventure, stay for the discovery, and enjoy a hands-on look at the Native Americans who lived here more than 500 years ago.
