Lori Roll, Artist

Lori Roll, Artist Lori is a visual artist and art educator based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Lori Roll learned about art, color and composition by observing nature as a student of photography at the University of Tulsa. She has worked with jewelry, collage, small environments, acrylic and oil painting, and has shown her work at galleries in Arizona, Maine and Oklahoma. She became interested in the encaustic art
form and cold wax medium due to their rich histories, fluidity and textural possibilities and considers herself a perennial student of these mediums.

Well! The Bartlesville Art Walk was a huge success in spite of impending weather! 🌪️Downtown was packed with enthusiastic art appreciators, families and folks of all ages. My location was the hub of excitement! We ended the evening in the safe room at Marigolds while tornadoes danced around the area. Thanks to Bartlesville Art Association and willing businesses, volunteers and patrons for creating this tremendous event!

The birds are loving the “upper falls” of the pond. As are the frogs (zillions of tadpoles) and resident snake(s). I used to keep pretty little Walmart fish but my small pond is too delicate an environment for them. They did attract extra wildlife, which was fun. But it’s just my backyard after all.
