A program telling the story of the Children's Home will take place at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, August 13 at the Watt Center for History and the Arts, 515 Watt Avenue, Barnesville.

Join us on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 6:30pm for a new program telling the story of Belmont County Children's Home. In addition to information and history of this institution, former residents will be present to share their stores.

The Watt Center Hosting Grade School Art Show

Volunteers at The Watt Center are delighted to again host the Barnesville Grade School Art Show. Students will come as class groups to see their art projects on display. Parents, grandparents, family and friends are invited to enjoy the show on Sunday, April 26 from 1pm to 3pm.

Displays at The Watt Center are also available to all visitors. These feature Barnesville's rich local history - industrial, retail, and agricultural. The Watt Center occupies the historic Watt Car and Wheel office building, a show piece in itself, and is located at 511 Watt Avenue, Barnesville, Ohio.
