The Carlisle County Museum and Library founded on October 6th, 2008 seeks to support the community by providing a museum that is rich in historical references as well as providing a foundation fo

r it's citizens to continue education and growth to bring history, literature and people together. It serves to provide access to research materials for the staff, volunteers, members, scholars, students, and general public who are pursuing further knowledge about the objects in the collections.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who came out to the chicken dinner. Your donations are what make it possible for us to look to the future. The proceeds from last night will go toward operating expenses.

Update on our progress: The flooring has been ordered, and the paint has been purchased! We are one step closer to opening our doors, and we can't wait to show you the final look. We hope to open as soon as we get paint on the walls and new flooring in 2 rooms!

The HVAC is installed and running!

Just an update on the Library. The installation of the new HVAC system is 75% complete. Once it it is up and running we will do a deep clean and paint the VFW room then we can OPEN. It been a long road but we can now see the end. We will also have our annual groundhog's day chili dinner Friday, February 6th at the Bardwell Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Look for flyers next week.
