🔨 Volunteer Day at the Barberville Pioneer Settlement!

Join us on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM as we work together to care for our historic buildings and grounds and prepare the Settlement for our upcoming events.

Come for an hour, stay all day, or help for any amount of time in between—every helping hand makes a difference!

💔 So heartbroken to share that after more than three weeks of fighting, our dear friend Gudrun passed away this afternoon at 3:40, surrounded by her friends.

She put up quite a fight, just as we would have expected from Gudrun. She was strong-willed, determined, and never one to give up easily. We will miss her dedication, her humor, her quick wit, and the special way she brought her personality into everything she did.

We prayed, we hoped, and we believed she would pull through. But God had other plans. While our hearts are broken and we will miss her terribly, we have to trust that she is now at peace and in His loving arms. 🕊️🙏🏼

She was surrounded by beloved friends during her final moments. She was deeply loved.

Rest peacefully, Gudrun. You fought your fight, and you will never be forgotten. ⚔️🕊️🙏

There will be a memorial service in the future, and we will share the details when they are available.

The winners of the 🔥FREE ADMISSION❄: 9th Annual FIRE & ICE: Non-Profit Chili Cook-Off & Ice Cream Churn-Off are The Crankin A's in chili competition and Erick Nielsen in in the Ice Cream competition. The Crankin A's received $680 for their non-profit. Big shot out to 2nd & 3rd places as well. In the Cook-Off 2nd place goes to Daytona Beach Blue Society. 3rd place goes to the Kiwanis Club. In the Churn-Off Connie Gilmore Campisi came in 2nd and Diana Johnson won 3rd.
