Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at the Cole Land Transportation Museum for our Memorial Day Service and took the time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Your presence helped make the day a meaningful tribute to those who gave everything in defense of our freedoms. A special thank you to Colonel Byron Newell, Wing Commander of the 101st Air Refueling Wing, Maine Air National Guard, for serving as our guest speaker and for sharing such thoughtful and inspiring remarks with our community.

Throwback to Memorial Day 2000 in Downtown Bangor

More than two decades ago, hundreds of World War II veterans proudly marched through the streets of Bangor carrying their walking sticks, representing service, sacrifice, and a generation that shaped our nation.

This Memorial Day, we invite veterans once again to walk with the Cole Land Transportation Museum in the Bangor Memorial Day Parade.

Veterans interested in joining us are encouraged to bring their walking stick to receive their parade sticker and walk alongside fellow veterans as we continue this meaningful tradition together.
