This undated postcard recently scanned into our collection identifies a Berwick Cove in Bandon. Does anyone today use that name? A schooner named the Berwick went aground here in 1892. Is there a connection? Maybe someone knows.

Candidate Mark Hatfield was posing for a campaign photo outside the Bandon Western World newspaper office in August of 1958 when trouble broke out among the baton twirling girls in the Cranberry Cadets.
The Western World chose to run a different photo in the paper. Hatfield was elected governor.
The image is from our Mary Schamehorn collection of Western World negatives.

Yesterday we posted photos of a wigwam burner taken in 1980 by Lionel Berryhill and got some good tips on where it may have been. These photos were also taken by Berryhill about 1980 but of a different wigwam. Anyone know where this one was located?
