Azalea Court Park renovation progress on the corner of Front and Main Streets in Baldwyn, Mississippi — demo phase is now fully underway. John Tigner and crew getting the job done on a hot afternoon for the City of Baldwyn and Baldwyn Main Street Chamber.

Adam Hood has written songs for some really big Artists, such as Travis Tritt, Little Big Town, Whiskey Myers, Lee Ann Womack, Muscadine Bloodline and Miranda Lambert, just to name a few.

It’s my great honor to announce that Adam will be instructing a Songwriter Masterclass the day he comes to play The Claude Gentry Theatre. (Saturday, August 5th)

The Songwriter Masterclass will take place from noon to 2:00 PM at the Samuel C. Richey Center for the Arts in Baldwyn. (just a few doors down from the Claude Gentry)

To secure your spot for the Songwriter Masterclass, please email me at [email protected]. Tickets are $30.00 each, and there are currently only about 20 spots left.

This could be the start of a lot of creative events coming to our town. I really hope you’ll make plans to join us at the concert that night, and those of you with songwriting aspirations, at the Songwriter Masterclass earlier in the day.

The month of June had both places hopping!!

Starting today, June 5-9th at RCA, The Art Retreat!
Several of our local celebrity artists will be creating and offering live demonstrations on how their art is made. 10-5 pm each day .. their art will be sold during the week. Great gifts for yourself or others. All one of a kind.

June 10, this Saturday, The Claude Gentry Theatre, will be hosting the first annual Bruce’s Cross Roads Foundation , membership meeting and lecture for any and all Civil War historians or anyone interested in the Civil War.
Day starts at 8am and ends at 2pm.
Battlefield tour, guest speakers , and membership meeting.

June 17th 9-12 pm, RCA, Jamie Arnold VanOekel will be teaching a basket weaving class.
Cost 35.00 with light nosh included.
Very limited seating..if you have already booked your space but haven’t paid, you need to do so soon.
