Everyone enjoyed the Lake County home movies this past Wednesday night at the museum program. Thanks to Wesco for providing the delicious popcorn! Movies and stories of the times at the Craig cabin on L-Lakes, early days in Idlewild, Baldwin scenes captured by Harold Allison and fishing history at the Flint Rainbow Club on the Pere Marquette were shared on the ‘big screen’. It was a fun time watching movies shot 90 years ago. We are so lucky that folks took the time and recorded their families activities that many years ago. To be able to travel back in time for an evening was quite an experience.

Everyone had a great time last night at the museum’s Road Show and Tell program. Folks brought small items from a trembler turtle pin cushion and a predecessor to the modern day stapler to large items like an autograph quilt top and a portion of a totem pole. Great stories about family items as well. Thanks to everyone for sharing your treasures. Check out the photos for more details.
