Find AAG member, Nancy Jacobson, at the 32nd Ozark Heritage Festival in West Plains this Friday & Saturday. Free, 10am-9pm

I partially set up today (Friday) but due to the high winds I couldn't display my gourds. So, I packed up and plan to be back tomorrow (Saturday),!
OZARKS HERITAGE FESTIVAL
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow, Friday, October 16 and Saturday the 17th, is the Ozarks Heritage Festival in West Plains at the Civic Center. It is a blast from the past, as the saying goes.
I was looking for photos from last year, but settled for this photo of a gourd I finished this year. Check out my Elohi Spirit Gourds booth. I will be near the West entrance of the Civic Center. I will be demonstrating gourds and how they were used by both Native people and the early settlers here in the Ozarks. I will also show how they have evolved to the many contemporary styles such as the one you see here in the photo.
Also, I will also be demonstrating how to weave pine needles onto gourds to create an attractive top trim. I have a limited number of 'Make and Take' kits available.
There is a lot to see and do at the Ozark Heritage Festival. Be sure to stop by my Elohi Spirit Gourd booth and say "Osiyo!" That's "Hello!" In Cherokee.

🍂Fall Mug Club🍂

Join us October 31st from 12–2 PM for our seasonal Fall Mug Club workshop!

For $45, you'll spend the afternoon working with clay and creating your own handmade slab cup inspired by the colors and textures of fall.

You'll learn how to roll and work with clay slabs, then use real plants and leaves to press natural textures into the clay. From there, you'll shape and assemble your own cup, creating a piece that is completely unique to you.

We'll also have the pottery wheel available for anyone who would like to give it a try and experience working with clay on the wheel.

Once your cup is finished, you'll have the option to participate in a separate glazing workshop and finish your piece yourself, or you can choose to have your cup glazed for you.

No previous pottery experience is needed. This is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you'll learn some new pottery techniques, work with natural materials, and create a cup you'll enjoy using.

**October 31 | 12–2 PM**
**$45 per season**

Space is limited. Reserve your spot for the Fall Mug Club!
