Coyote teeth?!??

Coyote teeth?!??

In the early 1900s a man couldn't afford proper dentures, so he made his own using melted down toothbrush handles and the teeth of a dead coyote.

After years of wearing them, in 1946 a local dentist was so impressed with this ingenuity that he offered to make the man a professional set in exchange for the coyote dentures.

The teeth are now in the collection of the Eastern California Museum, in Independence, CA.

A Museum for the Entire Family

Come One! Come All! Come See! Pexcho's American Dime Museum is THE Cultural Experience of the 21st Century, and You and Your Entire Family are Invited!

A Faithful recreation of late 19th Century and early 20th Century Dime Museums, and inspired by Dick Horne's American Dime Museum in Baltimore, Maryland (closed in 2006), and P.T. Barnum's 5-story American Museum in New York City (which Burned to the ground in 1865), Pexcho's American Dime Museum will bring Wonderment, Disbelief, Amazement and Laughter to Children and Adults alike.

Aside from the different Attractions, the Museum also promotes Educational ends, including Natural History in its Menageries, an Aquarium (which features Rare Exotic Fish), and Taxidermy Exhibits; History in its Photographs, Illustrations, Wax Figures, and Memorabilia; and Fostering the Idea, that a Child's Imagination & Curiosity is Timeless.

In the "Lecture Room", the Museum will feature Discussions on a variety of Subject Matter, including Philosophy, Poetry, Current Events and Music. ALIVE! Pexcho's American Dime Museum will host many Modern Human Oddities, as well as visitations from Famous Living Freaks, traveling from across the Planet to showcase their Natural Gifts and Learned Skills.

The Teeny Tiny Art Gallery, will contain a rotating collection of Drawings, Paintings, Sculptures, Creations and Installations by Local Augusta, Georgia Artists; helping to support Established, as well as Burgeoning New Artists, who may not have access to any Gallery to show their works in.

Between the Lecture Room and the Teeny Tiny Art Gallery, will be Insomkneeacks, a Full Service Coffee Concept, featuring up to 10 of the Most Exotic Coffees of the World; including, but not limited to: Kopi Luwak, Hawaiian Kona, Jamaican Blue Mountain, Fazenda Santa Ines, Hacienda La Esmeralda, and depending on availability, the Rare Black Ivory.

The Carnival Room is a collection of Circus, Sideshow, and Midway Memorabilia, including Original Posters, Games, and Photographs of Past & Present Performers.

The Gift Shop will have many Keepsakes, Souvenirs, Books, Buttons, Stickers, T-Shirts, Postcards and Collectible Gifts for You and Your Family to commemorate Your Historic Visit with!

Opening May 24th, 2019, Pexcho's American Dime Museum will be an integral part of the Social Infrastructure of Augusta, Georgia - a Hub, a place for Meeting New Friends, a venue for Discourse about the Past and Present Times. Pexcho's American Dime Museum is the Last Resource of it's kind in the Known World.

My new friend Red and Deborah Johnson
I came in this past Friday and during the tour I noticed some cool taxidermy related things. I told Peter Excho about this restaurant in Jacksonville that has a VAST collection of animals. They were acquired over the years and I believe some were collected from a zoo (don't quote me). Anyway, I found the info and thought it may be fun to share. We go every time we drive through Jacksonville. Pics in comments!
