Your daily dose of color.

The Bubble Gum Stud Earrings — six colorways, $45. Small enough to wear to anything, loud enough that someone will ask.

Cream, turquoise, blush, black, orange, yellow. The hardest part is stopping at one.

I’m on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, which so far has meant spending a gorgeous Saturday in a conference room in the middle of Piedmont Park.

That’s the trade, though. You sit in the room in August so that in April there are 260 artist tents out there and people wandering through them all weekend, stopping in front of things they didn’t expect to love.

They’ve been doing it since 1936. Next April will be the 91st. Wore Let’s Stomp Grapes to the first meeting, which felt about right.

Some of what’s on this table never came near a gallery.

A few of these I sourced for clients. A few came out of somebody’s closet. They all got the same question — what does this actually need?

A silk mat instead of paper. A float mount so a deckled edge shows instead of disappearing under a window. A carved gold frame on a hard-edge geometric painting, which shouldn’t work and does.

If you’ve got something you love and have never known what to do with it — that’s the job. DM me.

On the table: Laurie Lindqvist · Christina Marie Baker · Vesela Baker · Heather Lancaster

If you’ve ever picked something out for a friend and been right — you have taste. You just haven’t aimed it at your own walls.

That’s the job. I learn how someone lives and I find the pieces that are already theirs. Knowing artist names isn’t the skill. Noticing is the skill, and you already do it.

DM me when you want help pointing it at a wall. “I’m not really an art person” be damned. ❤️

I made this one by hand in Atlanta. It went to a festival in Oslo without me. Kjerstin Ofstad sent me these a couple of weeks ago and I keep going back to them. That’s the strange, good part of making things — you finish a piece, it leaves, and then it turns up on someone else’s neck in another country, having a better summer than you are.

Sometimes a happy rainbow around your neck is the easiest wardrobe solution you’ll make all year!

DM me if you want one that travels.

People tell me all the time that they’ve run out of room. Almost never true — what runs out is the feeling that the house is finished. That’s not a square footage problem.

A room reads full when the things in it mean something to the person living there.

Better art doesn’t mean bigger. It means yours.

You already know which one is yours. Award yourself and send this to whoever’s badge of honor is obvious.

Who knew a simple dot could start an art revolution.

Yayoi Kusama passed away this week at 97.

Millions of people who would swear they’re not art people waited in line for hours to stand inside her rooms — and walked out having felt something they couldn’t explain. No vocabulary required. No movement to name, no market to follow. You walk in and it happens to you.

She made the same obsession for seventy years and the world took most of that time to catch up.

Pick your poison.

One piece of jewelry, one painting, one martini. Leave your order in the comments — a letter, a number, and a letter.

Everything here is available right now. Every piece of jewelry is in stock, every painting is still on the wall. That’s the point — this isn’t a mood board, you can actually have any of it.

The jewelry — all mine, all in stock:
A — Evil Eye studs
B — Heart Me
C — Paint Drip
D — Bubble Gum studs, cream
E — Tiptoe Through The Tulips
F — Tie One On

The art:
1 — Geranium Vase, Kate Roebuck at Anne Irwin Fine Art
2 — Birdlands Spring II, Carlyle Wolfe Lee at Spalding Nix Fine Art
3 — Taking the High Road, Carylon Cooper at Gregg Irby Gallery
4 — Dash, Scotty Peek at Spalding Nix Fine Art
5 — Cicada Light 2, Lynn Sanders Art at Gregg Irby Gallery
6 — Uprighter Than Usual, Jen Matthews at Anne Irwin Fine Art

Format borrowed from James Briscione — his was steak, fries and a martini. Solid battle of the brain.
