PROCESSING CHANGE: How sad, beautiful, and fitting that today’s theme of processing change is also the day we morn the loss and celebrate the life of John Lewis- a man who exemplified change as a process, not a single action. The title for today, ‘Processing Change’ is a bit tautological, but that is with intention: repeating the idea of change twice so as to emphasize that changes (social or personal) are PROCESSes. A process is a series or set of activities that interact to produce a result; it may occur once-only or be recurrent or periodic. To wrap up this weeks instagram takeover, I want to leave you with a better understanding of the process that leads to change. Let’s review: understand how you see, think about how what you see informs your thoughts, think before you speak, live up to what you say, act according to what you understand, and understand that change takes time. May you change, for the better, for your society and for your self. - Kofke.

You will be so deeply missed. May we all possess your spirit as we continue to work in your honor.
“Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”

Me and were working on a collaboration to commemorate the life works of and now I wake up to find him gone from this world. I know he will continue to guide and advocate for us to a higher power. Now though, we honor him. This angel worked hard for those wings

Hope you are all getting to know the very talented . She put together this very thoughtful/sharp performance for our collaboration “Shelter In Place” . A response to the global pandemic and the current uprise in protests against racial injustices in the US.
The performative actions include: repetitive list making as a form of Journaling to collect information, organize thoughts, protest and cope. Send her your love and 💭 in comments . 🎥🕹

A little background:) My sculptural installations use the concept of see-through borders/ barriers and the idea of spatial division to underline the social, economic and political invisible boundaries that multicultural hybrid identities are facing in the times of extreme anti-immigrant sentiment, discrimination, and exclusion. “Sheltered in Place” follows the same lines but in response to Covid-19. for

The small apartment layout painted on the ground with suggested walls acts as an imaginary boundary that people drive around to observe an individual private experience from an outsider perspective.
Both performance artists and were invited to collaborate by entering this semi imaginary domestic space to reflect on their own emotional and physical daily-life experiences during the quarantine months.
