Porch Songs with Emily Singer

🗓️Thursday, September 17th | 5:30-7 pm.

The KMA is thrilled to host local musician Emily Singer for a free outdoor concert on our front porch. Bring your music- and art-loving friends! Everyone is welcome.

Emily Singer was raised in a musical family immersed in jazz, folk, and traditional Appalachian string band music in Athens, Ohio. A talented singer from an early age, she has performed as a lead vocalist with several local bands and has recently begun writing and performing original music. Whether accompanying herself on piano or backed by her exceptional four-piece band, Emily’s songs weave together emotional themes and heartfelt melodies, drawing on vintage jazz, folk, blues, and soul.

Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Kennedy Museum of Art.

Children age 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to the KMA is always free.

Honoring the life and legacy of David Hockney (1937–2026), one of the most influential artists of our time.

Featured in our Waves of Influence exhibition, Hockney’s Prints from the Pool series showcases his evolving approach to printmaking, where color, light, and perspective became central elements in capturing the atmosphere and experiences that shaped his artistic vision.

Visit the exhibition and spend time with Hockney’s work as we appreciate the impact his art continues to have.
