I am pretty far behind on posting, so I'm catching up today. I've debated whether it would be appropriate to share a personal challenge here on the gallery page. There was a car accident, and someone crashed into my apartment on December 2nd. I was still processing the loss of Bill W Dodge on November 18th and hadn't posted much since he passed as well. I had to move out of my home until the repairs are done and not just me, everything I own was packed and placed in the garage. It was a lot of work even though it's a one bedroom. I am most definitely planning to lighten the load before moving back in. It takes me a bit to stabilize after something like that, focus, attention, motivation, processing. Maybe it's just me and maybe lots of people have a similar reaction to things. On the week of January 7th, I brought many of Bill's cherished items into the gallery to sell on the behalf of his longtime friend. Over the summer I lost another friend that was similar in age to Bill, the landlord for the gallery, Ron Hoxie. It's been a very distracting year between the emotions and physical demands, and then there was that wrist surgery in February. So! I am ready to hit the ground running again, though I won't be moving back into my place for 4 to 6 months or more depending on how long the repairs take. In the meanwhile, things are ok and I am glad that everyone was ok from the accident. I wasn't home, or I might have fared the worst seeing as I would have been near the point of impact at that time of day. It's good to be grateful and good to be rested. It's amazing to have supportive family and friends.
