A study in light, movement, and place.

Dale Landrum’s paintings move between quiet coastal moments, open farmland, and skies that seem to carry their own weight.

Each piece is rooted in observation, but guided by a painter’s instinct, where color, atmosphere, and brushwork take the lead.
From working harbors to grazing fields to waves breaking against stone, there’s a consistency in how the world is translated here—not just what is seen, but what is felt.

familiar forms, but full of depth and color.

They carry the feeling of a kitchen in motion… ingredients waiting, light shifting, something about to come together.

Coast Guard training yesterday. Heard the helicopter from the gallery, so I walked down to check it out. The river is just half a block away. Lots of interesting things to see on the river.

It happens all of the time, passersby are lured in by the owls, mesmerized. They are quite striking with their wisdom, and individual personalities, each the size of an adult. It is interesting to see them together, a parliament of owls created by Richard Burke, avian Sculptor and painter. The paintings above the owls are also his expressive brushwork, depicting
dramatic skies reflected in large bodies of water.
