Answer: KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET INSIDE THE CAR!!!

If Mr. Roach had done this, he would not have lost his hand.

Yesterday's local trivia question was what unusual specimen did John Long bring to the office of the Pickaway County News? Hint: Farmers would often bring in unusual freaks of nature including four- legged chickens, six-legged pigs, eggs inside of larger eggs, unusual vegetables.

Answer: It was something he found in his Long Street garden in Ashville. He was accused of raising the "Devil" in his part of town.

Yesterday's local trivia question was what item did Henry Gloyd bring into Ashville to be displayed in the front window of the local newspaper office?

Answer: He brought in a goose egg that looked a bit like a goose--sort of a self-sculpture. We have a display at the museum that mimics this unusual event.

Yesterday's local trivia question was what former local resident had three number 1 recording hits in the United States?

Answer: Several people suggested it was Seth Mosley. That was a reasonable guess, but the answer is Corrine Welsh Morgan who was born and raised on a farm near Commercial Point. This recording pioneer hit number one with Toyland, then Listen to the Mocking Bird, followed by So Long, Mary. She started recording in 1902 for the major cylinder recording companies of the day starting with Edison, then Columbia, although after 1904 most of her recordings were for Victor Records. She was a featured recording artist on more than 100 songs.

Yesterday's local trivia question was what mayor of Ashville was a patented inventor, author, and a publisher?

Answer: Emmit E. Fraunfelter lived on Powell Street in Ashville and was the publisher of the Ashville Enterprise--the local newspaper. He wrote the First Directory of the Village of Ashville in 1896. He also served as mayor of the village.
