Join ART on FIRST and Martina Goldberg for ART in ACTION, an opportunity to meet, experience, and interact with Martina while she provides a live demonstration of her painting. Martina works mostly with acrylics to capture the visual aspects of landscapes in Mexico combined with a Northern European spirit, taking her expression beyond the limits of her viewers’ eyes. Using just a few visual elements and a limited palette, Martina’s paintings are often dramatically contrasted but also subtly blended, which is her way of interpreting the essence and mood of her compositions, always aiming to evoke in her viewers an inner landscape.

ART in ACTION will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Don't miss out!

My heart breaks when I see this. One of our own artists lost all her display and artwork in an event like this before. Even with the best insurance, you are never made whole. This is where diversification and gallery representation has a lot of value.

Small business owners at the Omaha Art Fair are picking up the pieces after Saturday's storm wiped out tents and inventory. Some artists lost up to a year's worth of work. Read more. Read more at the link in the comments.

A preview of what is to come:
I have been hearing about this “Mountain” piece that is almost ready, and here it is. Coming to the gallery soon, for those of you just waiting for it…

Finally finished this beauty. It is a 16” x 20” Bead Mosaic of Mt McLaughlin as seen from Butte Falls. I created this one from a variety of glass and crystal beads of several different sizes. Each bead was lovingly placed individually and are securely set with a jewelry glue. The sky is painted with acrylic paints. Framed in a beautiful solid wood floater frame.

My heart is happy! This lovely couple found their perfect art piece this week. They bought a “moon” painting on their honeymoon.

It is amazing how much work goes to into all the "behind the scenes" stuff. The website has gotten a fabulous re-fresh, including a "sneak-peek" of the new works by Carol Aust.

Celebrating the success of our artists elsewhere:
This is so exciting. Zebith Thalden, will be in Ashland in July (Yay). This event on "Creating Eco-Art" looks to be really fun.
You can also come see her work here at the gallery. Some of my favorite pieces are these series of a very, very up-close look at beetles. Yes, makes me think of Georgia O'Keefe, but of insects instead of flowers.
Zeith will also come and spend a day at the gallery, just visiting and being available to speak in-depth about her work. Stay posted on the exact date.
