New gallery in Jacksonville! Come join us Friday for the opening….

In the Lemonade Stand-a new contemporary art space in the historic town of Jacksonville-Dawn Bassett’s opening; Seek and Find, invites you to look closer and spend some time.

Bassett has transformed the space. Her work is on the walls and IS the walls, using Tadelakt primarily as her medium for over twenty years, she expands the possibilities of this 2,000 year old Moroccan plaster. Opening from 4-7pm, May 8th at 110 S. Oregon street in Jacksonville, Oregon.

The Gambrel Gallery on East Main Street in Ashland closed in late June after Jackson County found it in violation of land use regulations. The gallery, which was housed in a large, red barn at 1980 E. Main St., and operated by Emily Santiago and Chris Leishman of Ashland, opened in 2022 to showcase....

Sadly Friday will be the last day the gallery will be open to the public as we were unable to resolve zoning issues with Jackson County and we are being forced to close. It has been an incredible 3 years hosting shows! Our artist in residency program at the Annex is not affected by this.

MONOLITHS will open this Thursday 6/6 at Gambrel Gallery!

MONOLITHS, the latest body of work created by the artist Dawn Bassett, seeks to grapple with the power of time over the idea of Home.

Told in the language of 2,000 year old Moroccan plaster, Tadelakt, Bassett tries to discover what home is, what home is now, what home was in the past and possibly the future. Is home a timeless idea or an ephemeral place? Does home exist in a space at all or is it only a memory of another time, or feeling in a particular moment?
