To our amazing pickle peeps,

First, thank YOU for being dillightfully energizing in your support of our micro picklery! Second, DJ's has had to make some operational changes we want to address simply and transparently with you!

In 2021, we started this venture with D & J - they had a great flavor and had a lot of fun. We grew and grew in 2022, and in 2023, I came on at a critical time for scaling. In 2024, we revised our business plan and worked dilligently on the business before getting disrupted by Helene and uprooting from our brick-and-mortar. In 2025, we were in survival mode with much gratitude for our foundation - and doing all we could do to keep going, including working out of three different community kitchens and traveling more across the state to keep our brand visible. Also in 2025, our Chief Pickling Officer was faced with difficult decisions that he had to honor for the well-being of our family, and went back to work full-time in September as a chef. We were truly "in a pickle", but the Pickle Lady pickled up and produced for all of our fall and winter events, wrapping up a difficult year despite the jarring situation.

All that to say, we need to pause and reflect on where we are going next. In order to do that:

1. We are backing wayyyy off of our local tailgate markets this year. This was, by far, our most bittersweet decision. We WILL be keeping as many Transylvania markets as possible, and doing larger events and pop-ups throughout the year. We will continue to post about our events and markets - please come see us!! We would not be here or motivated without YOU.

2. We resumed online sales - use code LOYAL for a dill on your orders! We will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of our shipping methods and consider the environment, but we do want to make it easier for you to access your favorite flavors despite our throttling back. djspickles.com

3. We are keeping our primary and long-time wholesale clients (map online), but will be discerning on what new wholesale business we take on for direct sales. We encourage all prospective businesses to consider our distributor, Happy Dirt, for their pickle needs!

Rise and brine is still our motto! ✌💚🥒
