After an entire season of vending was lost to the storm, Asheville Art in the Park artists are returning to Pack Square to try and make up the art shows in November. Saturday November 2 will mark the return with a small group of 2 dozen artists. Follow up shows on November 9th and November 16th are scheduled to bring an even bigger assortment of local artists as they recover enough to return to the markets. Artists ask that you come downtown on Saturday and support them and other local downtown establishments.

“I am so grateful for NCGC. At the end of 2020, after a decade long absence from glassblowing, I found myself desperate to work with glass again. I was welcomed into the studio with open arms. The space and its staff have allowed me to further my artistic expression and passion with glass. I love the community I have found of like-minded artists - some professionals, some beginning students, some hobbyists - who collectively are obsessed with glass. I'll be downtown finalizing the Asheville Art in the Park preparations today and Friday. I'll be handing out these posters to area venues. Let me know if you would like me to stop by your downtown location and drop one off to you. They will also be available inside the Appalachian Craft Center on Spruce Street for pickup starting this afternoon. If you have a spot that needs a poster please come pick one up and help promote local artists participating in these events.
