The opening reception for the Early Canfield Gallery Artist show was truly a "walk down memory lane" for many of us. Artists, family, former and current trustees, and community members viewed and reminisced...... sharing stories and meeting new people. Thank you to all who shared this day with us. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Canfield Gallery opening at The Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library in Arlington, VT, we are excited to host the Early Canfield Artists exhibit featuring some of the artists from shows between 1996-2006. The exhibit will be available for viewing during regular library hours April 3 - May 9, 2026, Works of Pamela Marron, Christopher Pierce, Ned Reade, Harry Rich, Mallory Rich, Julian Sheres, Brian Sweetland, Penny Viscusi, Anita Witten, and Eugene Witten will be featured in the show. Some of the artwork is on loan from personal collections and other pieces will be on sale.

Please join us for the Opening Reception on Fri. April 3rd from 4:00-6:00pm, when some artists, family members and library personnel will be in attendance. Refreshments will be served. Six diverse ceramic artists from southern Vermont will share personal work, highlighting the versatility of clay. Tableware, vases, sculpture; both functional and artistic, presented at: Vermont Ceramics from February 10 - March 20, 2026. Join us for the opening reception: Thursday, Feb. 12 from 5:00-7:00pm.
