Just a quick reminder from F. W. Muller to get out and vote today! #getoutandvote

As an involved civic leader in his community, as well as a proud first generation American citizen, we have a feeling “Pop” Muller would have been the first to the polls! We may not know who he would have voted for but its the action that counts!

Re-enactment Wednesday! Are you in need of a creative outlet? Do you want to recreate history in your own home? Your own backyard? Over the next few weeks we’ll be posting a historical photograph from the Archives of the Center for Suburban History. Get creative with objects around your house such as old clothing that has been at the back of your closets, stuffed animals laying around your kids rooms, random things in your junk drawer, other bored family members, your cat, dog, or hamster, and recreate the posted image! Share them here, and we’ll all have a hand in preserving history, or at least have a little fun!

We’ve missed you! Come by and see us!

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum is now open new limited hours! Our main museum center will be open, including our main exhibit gallery, and our gift shop starting this Saturday July 11! Our hours to start will be:

Saturdays 8:30-12:30.

We are opening slowly in the coming weeks with increased hours to come. Out of an abundance of caution, however, we will be taking it slowly as safety and health considerations allow!

There are a few things that we ask of you before and during your visit!
1. Wear a mask.
2. Keep 6’ distance between you and the next museum patron.
3. If you or a member of your family are sick, or don’t feel well, please stay home! We want to see you, but we want to see you at your best and feeling well!

While we are open, there are a few things that will have to stay closed for the time being- the “Pop Shop Play Area”, and all touch interactives have had to be closed. Additionally at the moment, the 1882 Muller Home, and 1908 Banta House will remain closed for touring, but will be reopening soon for your enjoyment!

Remember, even though COVID-19 may have slowed us down, we still remain committed to staying curious! Our main exhibit, gift shop, and our outdoor gardens will be open, so come on out, grab a refreshing Arlington Club soda, and say hello! We look forward to seeing you! #Staycurious.
