Cal Poly Humboldt Goudi'ni Native American Arts Gallery The Goudi'ni Native American Arts Gallery focuses on artwork by Indigenous Artists and Makers

The Goudi'ni Gallery programming focuses on Native American artwork and making within California and beyond. We host 2-4 exhibits a year to the public, with limited programming in the Summer. Goudi'ni is the Wiyot word for the region now known as Arcata, meaning "Over in the Woods", working with the Wiyot Tribe we chose this name for this space to acknowledge and bring to the forefront the gallery as indigenous space making. Goudi'ni along with the Reese Bullen Gallery are a part of the Cal Poly Humboldt Art Department's Museum and Gallery Practices program where students gain experience working in a gallery setting while earning their undergraduate degree.

We are so excited to present the upcoming exhibition Root, Thread, Stitch, an exhibition focusing on fashion and adornment!

Please come to our Opening Reception Thursday October 15th, 4:30-6:30pm, with a Fashion Walk at 5:30pm, where you are the model! Dress to the Nines to show off your favorite Native maker - earrings, necklaces, hats, and more! Show off your personal collection and let us all envy you!
