The Greek Revival style Fry-Conter House, built in 1845 by Daniel Fry an illustrious riverboat captain, has been meticulously restored and now serves as the Apalachicola Museum of Art where temporary visual art exhibits can be viewed. The Mission of the Apalachicola Museum of Art is to inspire interest and participation in the Arts through curated exhibits, as well as, provide facilities for the r

esidents of Apalachicola to engage in community events. Additionally, the Museum seeks to enrich the educational experience of the community's young children by exposing them to on-site exhibitions and promote further involvement through the gift of related publications.

The Apalachicola Museum of Art is defunct. It currently does not exist. The building houses another entity these days. There is little reason to stop another locale for a new art museum!

Sincerely,
Frederic E. Kahler
