A basic keepsake box of red oak and paduk. I like the clean lines, grain, and color. Made three since it was for three brothers, so no fighting.

Finally got going again. I really like textured wood. The case is a repurposed white oak plank from an old cabin porch floor and the drawer fronts are repurposed yellow pine barn siding. The wood is as old as or older than I am. The barn owl was needle felted by a friend, Gail Robin. Now on to the next piece.

I think this is one of my best piece (inspired by a Mike Pekovich piece. It's a tiger maple and walnut chest with on sliding door. Five tiger maple drawers on one side and five walnut drawers on the other.

This was an interesting project. It's a commission I had to make a votive candle holder and a table to support it. I will hold 33 candles. It's made in poplar because they wanted something light weight and are painting it white. Took a little figuring out to keep the wood movement from being a problem. Also I spent a lot of time making sure it wouldn't burn the church down. Now I'm starting on a table in matching style to hold an immense bible the church is being gifted.

It’s been a while since I posted partly because of pandemic funk, partly life. I’ve snapped out of it and have finished the four pieces below with more to come. First is a one-drawer with a lift top jewelry box of quartersawn red oak, the second is the same design but made from tiger maple. The third is (my designation) a wave jewelry box of tiger maple and a second wave box of quartersawn sycamore. I’ve also include a picture of the wonderful linings that Suzy has done for each. All of the boxes feature a small tray(s).

I seem to be getting more done. You can't tell because it's in the form of multiple projects partially completed, but little by little they are coming together. These are three keepsake boxes for two grandnieces and a grandnephew. I would have made the grandnieces pieces the same, but didn't have the wood to do it. So, their mother can work it out.

This is a 12 x 10 x 6 walnut keepsake box I did on a commission. The wood came from a tree on the customers property.

Finally finished after thinking about making it for about seven years. It is hard maple and ebonized quartersawn sycamore. You can tell the size from the apple.
