Our Story
Executive Moderator/Director, Asia Scudder, relocated to the New England area from Oklahoma in 2012. Now in her 25th year as a wire sculptor, she is excited to continue her artistic career in the Northeast. (#asiawireart) By initially starting an exhibit space, she launched Blue Wave Art Gallery where she hoped to create an interactive, community art-space in Amesbury, Massachusetts which not only showcased her own work but supported poetry, music, lectures and visual art. Now located at CI Works (https://www.ciworks.us/) at 11 Chestnut street in Amesbury, the newly formed Art. Tech. Innovation. examines intersections between art, technology and innovation = entrepreneurship. With a diverse mission in multi-media arts, function, design combined in innovative technologies + sustainability, Art. Tech. Innovation. encourages multiple levels of solution-based art and business strategies aimed at successful outcomes.

Additional information: Asia enjoys making use of online social media platforms as well as bricks and mortar venues to provide excellence in exhibitions, lectures, discussions and community efforts towards an overall mission of diversity in visual arts, music, performance, technological innovation, sustainable economies as well as environment! And all of this is intended to encourage creativity at all levels, to include art that is not confined to museums and galleries, and educate through inspiration; or be additive to new real-life applications or that may inspire new thought in sustainable economies. These may be functional or aesthetic applications. In this way then A.T.I. seeks to understand the commitment of individuals not only with innovation but creativity in its many forms. Originally, Scudder saw the opportunity for a storefront gallery space that would host international, national, and local artists. Her own work in wire is created in the back studio of the space. She hoped that #BlueWave will become a go-to place for workshops, classes, music and public lectures on a variety of topics. Rental of the space was available for private functions. With a projector and screen offer opportunity for PowerPoint presentations and the hosting of independent film nights. We offer opportunities for businesses to decorate with art from a wide selection of artists represented in the gallery. Asia’s history with art spans generations. Not only were the walls of the home decorated with notable pieces of art, she also grew up hearing stories of her great aunts, the Cone sisters, who had befriended such greats as Matisse and Picasso, collecting their works in what would become a legendary historical collection now held at the Baltimore Museum of Art. She has herself been engaged in her own art career since 1993, and has exhibited widely with several solo exhibits and also having been included into the Venice Biennale (2001) and many years in Oklahoma’s VisionMakers biennial. She received her Master’s in Liberal Studies from the University of Oklahoma (2006). http://femmesfollesnebraska.tumblr.com/post/72439178156/asia-scudder-artist
