Why is it about Fannie
Moffitt? While it is not exclusively about Fannie Moffitt, she was one of Altamont’s most colorful and recognized citizens. Just her name alone creates a curiosity that will intrigue and draw people to Altamont to see what it is all about. What kinds of activities will be going on? All we can say is, i

f you can’t find something to enjoy its your own fault! There will be, a breakfast, cruise in, arts and crafts, tours, games, genealogy/museum,music, quilt show, skits starring some of Altamont’s most beloved characters. At the end of the day there will be dancing (the stomp) to celebrate Altamont’s Scots-Irish, native American roots. AND you might even see the old girl Fannie herself running around town! Breakfast will be $5 under 12 free, and there will be
donation boxes in several places., but it is our desire that your dollars will be used to support local artists, crafters, and civic organizations.

📢We have an important announcement to make.📢

The Fannie Moffit Autumn Stomp has always been about serving our community. This year, we have created Fannie's Front Porch — Community Partners for Kids. This area of the Stomp will be reserved vendor spaces for community organizations that serve, coach, support, mentor, teach, encourage, or otherwise benefit the children and teens of our community to fundraise or increase enrollment and participation. We only have 10 of these spaces available.

There are only 40 spots left. That is amazing! Especially since we added 25 spots this year! More importantly, there is only ONE space left on Cumberland Street (the main thoroughfare). It is a non electricity spot, directly across from the post office on the "busy corner" Don't sleep on this one spot! Only $30!

Miracle on the Mountain Hours:

Alright everyone I wanted to share our new hours of operation for the remainder of the season. We will now be open later on Friday and Saturday nights. This will give everyone time to see the cool splash pad lights and allow us to do some Purple and Gold to support our Grundy County Yellow Jackets.
