Once upon a time Art on Palm happened in bucolic Wildwood Canyon at the doorstep of gracious homeowners, Mary Rose Smyth and Mark Pickett. That home burned to the ground. Such a tragic time for so many.

Another great reason to get vaccinated!🙂

This is now the topic of some discussion among doctors and health experts as they try to better understand the effects of the coronavirus. The problem has been observed in some patients, but experts agree more study is needed to form any conclusions.

Ellen Dinerman began her art journey working in ceramics, then silver and bronze jewelry, and, more recently, miniature mosaics! She employs micro mosaic techniques that she bowled her over during a trip to Venice. She adds semi-precious stones, coral, and unusual glass to create a line of pendants that resemble small Zen gardens. Ellen extended her micro-miniature mosaics to include pewter cast mezuzah; a ritual blessing-holder that the Jewish people have put on their doorposts for millennia. The practice invites blessings and repels misfortune, which is truly relevant for our times. Ellen imbues each mezuzah with this prayer, “May we all have blessings. May we all be safe.” Ellen’s work can be found on Etsy at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ellendinerman and www.ellendinerman.com.

David Ortega has been an avid woodworker since childhood. He grew up observing his father coach woodworking at the Boys Club and from there his passion for the craft grew. In 2014 he launched www.HeirloomsEtc.net. to brand his craft and to share it with others who appreciate meticulously crafted pieces. Most of David’s designs are influenced of the Arts and Crafts movement, but he has incorporated other design style, to include custom clock with a copper face and pendulums, and clock faces in laser etched birds eye maple and maple burl veneers. Like all craftsmen and women, David is expanding his craft to make Craftsman Style accessories for the home. His line can be found at www.heirloomsetc.com and https://www.facebook.com/heirloomsetc.

Heather is a “Creative Soul” and for the past 15 years she has been working with clay. She throws functional ware and makes jewelry; however, Heather still explores all of the possibilities of clay. Most recently she has been working on decorative wall buttons. She wants to get out of the cupboards and onto your walls. Shop with Heather on Etsy at: www.etsy.com/shop/PotteryDaily. Enjoy the entire line at: www.potterydaily.com.
