It would have been almost impossible for Jim Jinkins to not draw this map of Doug's world. How can writers, designers, storyboard artists, and directors be consistent in where things are, and how do we get from place to place? For example: If Doug is going next door to Mr. Dink's house, does he go out the front door and turn left or right? Is Skeeter's house close enough to ride a bike from Doug's house?
I looked at area maps of my home town just north of Richmond Virginia. There were many names of places that were just as quirky and obtuse as the ones in Bluffington!
