ALCOHOL SUCKS. THE VIBES DON’T. 🪩

This Saturday, we’re doing something a little different.

RAVE NIGHT 3.
8PM-11PM.
ALL AGES.
COMPLETELY SOBER.

There will be absolutely no alcohol in the building.

And that isn’t an accident.

The more I think about what inkwell. is, what we’re building, and what I want this space to represent, the less alcohol fits the narrative.

I’ve seen what alcohol can do to people. To families. To people I love. That’s a longer story for another day.

But somewhere along the way, we decided we needed a drink to dance. A drink to loosen up. A drink to talk to strangers. A drink to be vulnerable. A drink to feel free.

Nah.

Live without the crutch.

Dance because the music moves you.
Talk to somebody new.
Sweat. Laugh. Get weird.
Be present.
Be human.

If this trip through Italy has reminded me of anything, it’s this:

LIVE. NOW.

Enough of the status quo. Enough of doing something just because that’s how it’s always been done. I have to keep leaning into what I believe God is telling me to build here,whether the masses understand it immediately or not.

This Saturday also marks our first event with the ALLENTOWN HOUSE AUTHORITY, presented by inkwell., in collaboration with Caution House.

First Sunday I’ve missed “inkwell. Run Club.”

But I wasn’t missing it completely. 🇮🇹

While the crew was back home choosing to voluntarily do something challenging together, I was exploring Siena and FaceTiming in for the group photo because there was no way I wasn’t showing some love. Also, Zavier holding the phone with my face in the picture might be my favorite run club photo yet. 😆

I got my miles in a little differently this week.

5K through Rome. Around the Colosseum. Past the Trevi Fountain. Through streets carrying thousands of years of stories.

Different city. Same commitment.

And once again, NEW FACES showed up at “the well.”

Week after week, this community continues to grow. Not because running is easy. Because there’s something special about choosing something challenging, together.

That’s what we’re building at inkwell. Something bigger than any one person. Community. Consistency. Accountability. Shared experiences.

One Sunday at a time.
One challenge at a time.
One mile at a time.

Rome miles count. 🇮🇹🏃🏽‍♂️
