Artist Statement
My art is an exploration of the natural world, folklore, and the stories that unite them. Through my creations, I bring together the beauty of nature and the wonder of traditional legends, crafting unique pieces that spark joy, tell stories, and celebrate the intricate details of life.
My collection is anchored by the iconic Spider Ornaments, inspired by the beloved Legend of the Christmas Spider. these handcrafted spiders under the folklore that speaks of prosperity, warmth, and good Fortune during the holiday season. Complementing them, my work also features intricately, beaded, dragonflies, scorpions, praying, mantis, and octopus pieces- each one attribute to the beauty, resilience, and mystique of these captivating creatures in the natural world. Every creation is carefully crafted, using a diverse array of materials, including metal, glass, wood, acrylic, gemstones, and stone, to bring these pieces to life with texture, depth, and vibrant energy.
An expanding aspect of my collection includes Framed Jewelry Art, where I repurpose costume, jewelry to create vibrant, textured artwork that celebrate the timeless beauty of these pieces. My latest series in this collection is a fusion of craftsmanship and my deep love of birds, bringing together the elegance of jewelry and a celebration of native bird species.
Drawing upon a deep love for nature and the rich tapestry of folklore, my creations are a celebration of the daily beauty that surrounds us. Each piece is made with care and attention to detail, hoping to bring a little more wonder into the lives of those who encounter it. Through Tinsel Creations, I invite you to experience the charm of nature and myth woven together and every ornament, sculpture, and artwork.
