Did you know we've never had visitors from all 50 states in a single season before? We got close in 2024, but missed out on New Hampshire.

This year, we're six states away from getting visitors from all 50 states. We're just mising Arkansas, Indiana, West Virginia, Delaware, Vermont, and New Hampshire (we can never seem to get that one!).

If you're from one of those states or are a local with family visiting, have them stop by the museum! If you're the first person to visit from one of our missing states, we'll give you free admission! The museum closes on October 31st, so plenty of time to make our dreams come true! We're located right in the heart of downtown Alexandria, MN.

Several of the artists from our 2026 Paddle Art Contest have generously donated their paddles to a fundraising auction benefitting the Legacy of the Lakes Museum (Thank you artists!).

The museum will be closing one hour early today, 9/28, at 4:00 pm. Last admission will be 3:00 pm.

We will reopen with normal business hours tomorrow, 9/29.
