🏗️ Our team toured the Brillante construction site today and got a peek at the future of early learning in New Mexico!

Opening winter 2026, the new building will bring 8 classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to Explora's Cradle through Career STEM Learning Campus.
None of this happens without the dedication of our teams at Explora, our community, donors, and partners. Thank you for helping us build something amazing for New Mexico families.

Just steps from their school in Los Ranchos, a group of 5th graders recently spent the morning walking alongside an acequia, one of the historic waterways that has supported our communities for generations.

The Acequia Walk and Talk, led by the Center for Social Sustainable Systems () in partnership with Explora and supported by the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (), invited students to explore the science flowing right past their playground: how water moves, how gravity guides it, and how these systems sustain the land around them.

Through bilingual storytelling and conversation, students explored querencia, a deep sense of place and responsibility, and connected what they saw to their own school garden, linking classroom STEM with cultural knowledge and environmental stewardship.
